Member Beverly Lyons announces Advanced Certificate in Gerontology Admin.
Earn an Advance Certificate in Gerontology Administration
This 15-credit stand-alone certificate is designed specifically for working professionals, providing important knowledge and skills to effectively manage services for aging populations.
There are two separate Gerontology Administration tracks:
Track 1, Long-Term Care Administration (Fulfills course requirements for New York State Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Examination.)
Courses:
· Human Resources Management · Health Systems Finance
· Legal Aspects of Health · Gerontology · Long-Term Care Administration
Track 2, Aging Services and Policies in the Community
Courses:
· Gerontology · Aging Services in the Community · Bereavement · Health and Retirement Planning in Elder Care · Nutrition Policy across the Life Cycle.
Certificate Program Admission Requirements:
· Supply official transcripts as proof of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education
· Submit two letters of recommendation
· Submit a current résumé
· Submit a two- to three-page typewritten statement of purpose
· Submit an application to the Office of Admissions
